A stylish Penfolds Grand Tawny showing a rich blend of fruit complexity and maturation characteristics. As its name implies, Father Grand Tawny was introduced to connect the step levels of quality in the Penfolds hierarchy of aged tawnies. With a minimum average blended age of 10 years to achieve its Grand Tawny classification, it not only replaced Bluestone Tawny, but offered collectors a more profound aged tawny experience. The extra maturation of individual varietal components in primarily seasoned oak hogsheads, sometimes as old as 70 years, combined with traditional Penfolds craftsmanship results in a remarkably smooth, richly flavoured and complex Grand Tawny.
